| Founded
as Matrix Healthcare PLC in 1990, under the Business Expansion Scheme,
ADL raised additional funds under the Enterprise Investment Scheme in
February 1996 and obtained a quotation on AIM in June 1996. |
| In January 2004
Jeremy Davies purchased a controlling interest in the Company and
made a Rule 9 Offer for the remaining shares. In February 2004 Matrix
Healthcare PLC acquired Woodland Healthcare Limited and Newsham House
Limited, the enlarged group acquired new banking facilities and the
Company's name was changed to ADL plc. |
| In
July 2006 ADL completed the arrangement of a new £25 million bank
facility with IXIS Corporate & Investment Bank S.A. and acquired
Solutions (Yorkshire) Limited that owns and operates a care home in
Leeds with 40 operational beds. |
| Today,
ADL owns and operates nine care homes with 306 operational beds (five in ADL, three in its subsidiary Woodland Healthcare Limited and one in
Solutions (Yorkshire) Limited). ADL also manages one care home, with 40
operational beds, on a joint venture basis. In addition Woodland
Healthcare Limited manages one care home, with 23 operational beds, on
a partnership basis. |

works in partnership with local authorities, PCTs, NHS Trusts and the
relatives of the residents of its care homes to provide the residents
with the highest quality of care in homely surroundings. |
